What People's Say About Place

This Broomtown Cafe was like a Hallmark movie! Cute little Mennonite ladies making simple breakfast and lunch items. The thin pressed sourdough toast was fun but they did use cost cutter canola oil spread as the butter instead of a homemade butter that artisanal bread demands. The bacon was great and reminded me of my great grandmother’s. Sitting there I see an adorable man who appeared to be journaling or something academic on the second floor. But almost immediately the most attractive man in a blue Patagonia puffer and perfectly sized work boots pops out of nowhere. Clearly the hero of my brunch. As he walked out a construction worker covered a mud came in. And it occurred to me… it’s a Lifetime movie set waiting to happen. Except for my son always there to bring me back to reality. Try the hippie iced tea half sweet and the scones. Their baker comes three times a week and deserves a nod of their own. Oddly enough, this cafe is across from the Broom Palace (still confused a bit) and a bakery with a name you can’t pronounce and hours that assure you won’t get in! One part Wholesome Holiday Town… One part Stephen King. I wanna spend a month there!

Clean, great atmosphere, lovely staff. My latte was very good. Our breakfast tasted like good, solid home cooked meal! We will be back!

Broomtown cafe is a wonderful and cosy coffeehouse. My latte was the best I ever had in the US. The sandwich was absolutely delicious and the salad very fresh . The girls are very friendly

In Arcola, a city with many old town stores, hometown restaurants, brick roads, old town feel, and known for making brooms is the Broomtown Cafe Village Coffeehouse. Established in 2019, it brings a modern unique menu with an updated contemporary feel inside, yet having the kind town feel in Arcola. The food they serve is healthy and very tasty, satisfying my hunger. We sat outside, under a shaded tree with a light breeze and sunny sky's. It was a wonderful way to enjoy our lunch. When in Arcola, be sure to stop by the Broomtown Cafe.

Amazing food! Had the classic breakfast sandwich with bacon and hubby had the broomtown breakfast with bacon. Both were delicious, sandwich was panini style and had meaty cheddar cheese and a perfectly fried egg, broomtown breakfast had perfectly cooked breakfast potatoes, eggs, bacon and artisan toast with homemade jam! I got the cold brew with pumpkin cold foam and he had the fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade. Both were phenomenal! Cold brew was smooth and strong as it should be! Very friendly staff and beautiful building. Makes you feel like coming home even when you have never been there!

Love the vibe here at Broomtown Cafe! Will definitely be back! The Chunky Monkey smoothie hit the spot as well as the egg sandwich. Bonus with the Gluten-Free bread The sandwich could’ve used a bit more salt and cheese.

Stopped during a snow storm. Very good breakfast sandwich. Kind of a limited menu!

Absolutely DELIGHTFUL for lunch! Young lady up front friendly, fast service. We had a Broomtown BLT and pesto chicken sandwich/ DELICIOUS!! The BLT had chopped tomatoes, bacon and lettuce and the BEST fresh bread! Ditto on the chicken pesto: chicken pieces, chopped tomato and baby spinach- pesto tasted fresh and home made! what a great relaxing lunch in a comfy casual atmosphere. GLAD we stopped off while driving highway 45!! Seems like the cafe is in an old bank- with high ceilings and windows.
